Workshop "Weaving"
The educational proposals focus mainly on three types of activities:
Educational paths: they identify a theme within the museum itinerary and accompany the children in the reading of the topic through observation cards, digital supports, sensorial experiences. Often used instead of a guided tour, they have a strong interactive role in the Museum.
Educational workshops: the workshops are the real moment when the hands-on methodology is put into practice. Often the particularity of the topics related to experimental archaeology does not allow primary school pupils to deal with practical workshops directly at school. For this reason, topics related to the museum collections (e.g. weaving and pottery) have been identified, which are discovered by the pupils through practical work, thus making them the protagonists of the activity. The workshops are introduced by a theoretical part of observation of museum exhibits and supported by PowerPoint presentations.
Composite educational projects: the projects can be of two types; the first is structured within the museum's Educational Services offer and consists of an introductory module in the classroom, a museum outing and a reworking module. A different kind of project will be agreed with the teachers on topics and activities studied ad hoc (duration and cost will be quantifiable from time to time).
This type of project is particularly suitable for secondary schools as a complement to the knowledge of the territory and to the approach to the museum realities and professions.

A fun and educational party with a workshop activity and a visit to the museum.
What do we offer?
- Thematic guided tour of the museum rooms
- Workshop led by a museum educator
- Space available to set up and decorate for cake cutting and celebrations
- Personalised invitation cards
Duration: 2.5 hrs
Intended for children and young people aged 7 to 11 years old
Maximum 15 participants. In the case of a group with more than 15 participants, it is necessary to request the presence of a second educator with a consequent increase in cost.
Birthdays do not take place on Saturdays and Sundays.

We are available for ad hoc projects to be agreed directly with the teachers with the possibility of developing themes on request through various meetings, not only in the museum but also in the classroom.
During special events in the museum, it is possible to combine paths and workshops with specific in-depth studies.
