A guided tour of the Lavagnone pile-dwelling site and the ongoing archaeological excavation!

We will meet you on Tuesday, July 21, at 9:00 AM at Trattoria La Rossa on Via Lavagnone. From there, we will walk to the University of Milan excavation site, accompanied by one of our staff members.

A guided tour of the Lavagnone archaeological excavations led by Prof. Marta Rapi, director of the excavation and scientific director of the Department of Cultural Heritage at the University of Milan, who will talk about the history of the pile-dwelling site, which is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Single appointment: 9:00 AM

This activity is open to everyone. Please note that the entire route will take place on dirt roads and through fields: wear appropriate shoes and bring insect repellent.

At Lavagnone farmhouse—which, as a reminder, is privately owned—there is an outdoor washhouse with drinking water
